About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of our payroll function. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for over 200 employees, utilising BrightPay payroll software. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll legislation and best practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for over 200 employees using BrightPay software.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of salaries, bonuses, deductions, and other compensation elements.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation, adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HMRC, etc.).
- Manage all payroll-related documentation, including contracts, P45s, and other employee records.
- Handle employee payroll queries efficiently and professionally.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and ensure compliance.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports accurately and on time.
- Liaise with HR and finance teams to ensure data consistency.
- Contribute to the improvement of payroll processes and procedures.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager, ideally with experience processing payroll for a large number of employees.
- Experience with BrightPay payroll software.
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- CIPP Qualified
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:30 (including a 45-minute unpaid break)
Hours negotiable with pro rata salary.
Salary:
£45,000 per annum
